skydive update

The 2006 season has come and gone. We kept hoping that the weather would come around this fall, but we really never got a break - another great reason to join us in Mexico this winter! Just to clarify, we will not have an aircraft in Hinckley anymore this season. We've received quite a few requests to open up if the forecast looks favorable.

The final party ended up being on Halloween weekend. It was a great night. Special thanks to Ben Crooch for helping put it together. As you can see, everyone had a great time!

We still have a few slots available for our Chicago Indoor Racing event tomorrow night - Saturday, November 11. Racers need to be there no later than 6:45pm. $129.99 includes racing, game card, appetizers, dinner, and open bar! It's going to be a great night. To reserve your slot, contact Lisa or call 815.286.9200 ASAP! Please bring a valid drivers license, 18 years old +, no open toed shoes.

Nathan and I were invited to take part in a military training program. We have spent the past two weeks at an "undisclosed location in the Arizona desert". I wish we could share details and photos of what we have been doing out here, but we are not allowed to disclose any information. It truly has been a great experience working with the US Military and the civilian organizations that support them. It looks like we will be coming back several times this winter. The hardest part for us was getting up at 4:15am everyday! Being done by noon, we had plenty of time to head over to Skydive Arizona to make some fun jumps and fly in SkyVenture Arizona While we were there, the Germans were working on a national record. They completed a 150-way formation. Take a look at the fly-by after they completed it.

Please remember that locker contents will not be available until March 2007. Also, if you still have an RV on the DZ and have not made arrangements with Manifest, please make certain they are removed no later than November 15. All tenants are responsible for their trailer slots. We will be charging a $50 - $100 cleaning fee if there is an excessive mess left in your RV slot. We still have winter storage space available. Contact Manifest for pricing details.

The Super Otter arrived safely at Skydive Cuautla last Thursday after a 12 hour ferry flight and another busy week flying in Middletown, OH for Team Fastrax. We are happy to announce that Mike "Woody" Wood is flying for us this winter down in Mexico. Woody has a lot of Twin Otter experience and has spent several winters flying in Mexico for Skydive Chicago. It's a big load off of us knowing that Woody is at the helm down there.

Please rememeber CSC when it comes to this years Holiday Season. Gift certificates are available for first-time and experienced jumpers alike. Be sure to let everyone know that you want a CSC gift certificate!

Congratulations:
