Things have been very hectic around here trying to get the Super Otter ready to leave for 6 months. Our Director of Maintenance, Tom Pecharich, was in town last week working on last minute items and he is back again this week to finalize everything before sending her off to Mexico.

Since our last update, the 16-way team from Skydive Chicago joined us for a training weekend. It was cold, but everyone had a great time. The heated hangar made for a cozy place to pack. Special thanks to Karen Softcheck for helping get everyone over to CSC for the weekend.

Also, that night we hosted a deep fry cookout thanks to the help of Eric, Gary, Randy, April, Brian, Drew, Diana, and the boys. We cooked over 100lbs of turkey and 30lbs of potatoes.

Don't forget about the big Halloween Party this Saturday. We will have live music and a pot-luck dinner - please bring a dish to pass. It's our last weekend with our Otter and the forecast is starting to shape up.

We've put an event together for anyone who wants to join us at Chicago Indoor Racing next Thursday, November 2nd. If you've never been, you won't want to miss it. We've set-up everything for a full night of fun including:

• appetizers
• dinner (choice of charburger or grilled teriyaki chicken breast)
• open bar

We have decided to cut the season a short and call November 5th our final day. With the weather pattern we're in, it makes more sense for us to focus on building business for the 2007 season.
