It seems like every update this year has mentioned another record being broken - so here we go again. This past weekend was a perfect September weekend and people came from all over to be a part of it. The $199 All-You-Can-Jump Boogie was a huge success with jumpers visiting from Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, and even a group from Alabama! We dropped 1,204 jumpers from 7:30am on Saturday to sunset on Sunday. Keep in mind, the PAC was gone this weekend. That's an average of 21.9 people per load all weekend long. Those are great numbers for CSC and Sky Team Aviation, but it added up to some long wait times for you guys. We do everything we can to keep the wait times for experienced jumpers to less than 30 minutes. Thanks for your patience!

The student numbers keep growing too. Not only, is this the best September we've ever seen, it may be the best month we've ever had! Everyone here is very excited about where this dropzone is headed. Special thanks to everyone who has helped make this season so great.
We have been adding video to the past few eNews Updates, but we're getting reports that some email services are not showing the embedded video files. From now on, we will make links to the YouTube videos along with the embedded files. In the meantime, if you missed any of the previous videos, check out the CSC eNews Update Archive. Enjoy...
Mr. Potato Head's First Skydive/Amanda's 200th
This past weekend, CSC Rhythm hosted their second scrambles event of the 2007 season. With 7 teams on-hand, the competition was a huge hit. Be sure to thank everyone on Rhythm for putting the effort into this great day. If anyone is interested in putting a team together for 2008, be sure to talk to any of the Rhythm members for advice and possibly even some coaching. Speaking of Rhythm, the new and improved CSC Rhythm is starting their 2008 training this weekend. As always, they will be here keeping the Otter flying all day long!
Congratulations to the following teams:
The party on Saturday night was great. The bonfire was roaring, the DJ was spinning under the big top, and the marshmallows were flying.
Thanks:
Congratulations:
Rich Madsen is hosting an 8-way camp this weekend. Participants must have a minimum of 600 jumps and be willing to commit to 7 jumps on Saturday. Rain day is scheduled for Sunday. To learn more and/or to reserve your slot, email Rich.
Rich will also be hosting a 10-way camp next Saturday during the $17 Autumn Boogie. Contact him for details. Don't forget that next weekend is the 4th Annual Chili-Cookoff.
There are rumors that The Today Show will be at CSC this Saturday. Come on out and be on TV.
Keep in mind that we are selling reloadable gift cards in Manifest and the CSC PROshop.

We typically do not send out things like this, but the following affects many of us as pilots and skydivers:
Congress is debating proposals that could cost us money as pilots, skydivers, and friends of general aviation. I have signed the AOPA petition against user fees and higher aviation gas taxes that will shift much of the burden of paying for our national aviation services to the small, individual flyers. This would further increase the costs of general aviation (and skydiving) to prohibitive levels for most people. Our ability, as Americans, to become pilots without unreasonable costs is one of the reasons our aviation system is the best in the World. Help keep the adventurous spirit alive and available for future generations by signing this petition before Congress is convinced to further subsidize major airlines to make flying cheaper and better for them while killing off what made flying what it is today for the individuals and small companies.
