It's been a rough couple of weeks around here as we've seen storms rolling through the area and leaving record rains. Not exactly ideal conditions for skydiving! That has all changed with a perfect forecast for the holiday weekend. We are expecting a big turn out this weekend considering how many rain checks and solo students are out there. Not to mention, this is the last weekend for teams to train before US Nationals starts next week at Skydive Chicago.
That said, we will be opening at 8:00am on Friday and Monday this weekend along with our normal 7:30am start times for Saturday and Sunday. The Otter will be flying non-stop as CSC Rhythm will be doing 10 - 12 jumps/day throughout the weekend.
Special thanks to Brian Germain for braving the weather last weekend to host a canopy seminar at CSC. The 2-day course was a big hit. We look forward to bringing Brian back in 2008 for an advanced canopy course. Congratulations to the following participants:
As we mentioned in the last CSC update, we have been doing a lot of demonstration jumps this season. Check out this video of a jump we did a few weeks ago into Powers Lake, WI. The jump was for Alarm Detection Systems and the Bonifas family. Special thanks to Bob, the entire Bonifas family, and Debbie for allowing us to do this jump again. Please note that this is the video from 2004 - we didn't get footage this year.

Ribfest was rained out, but that didn't keep Eric and his team from charging on. We ended up having a great turn out and the rain stopped just in time.
