It's been a few weeks since our last update. The weather hasn't exactly been going our way, but we're managing to stay busy. Two weekends ago, we had a Midwest Skydiving League competiton. The event went very smoothly and was completed by 3:00pm. Special thanks to Bob at Skydive Greensburg for loaning us the Grand Caravan. We ended up keeping the Caravan busy as we flew it both here at CSC and for Skydive Chicago.

This past weekend was our $250 All-You-Can-Jump Indepenence Boogie. Thanks to the weather, it was a bust. We're thinking of re-scheduling the 2-day event to later this season. As always, skydivers made the best of a bad situation. We charted a bus and filled it with nearly 40 CSC jumpers and headed down to see our friends over at Skydive Chicago. I think it's safe to say everyone had a great time! Special thanks to Eric Bickel for setting up the event and Rook and Melissa for making us feel welcome.

Over the 4th of July Weekend, we had several demonstration jumps. Special thanks to all of the demo jumpers, ground crew, and Jeff Little for flying.

This week, we were lucky enough to take Kaitlyn from NBC's Treasure Hunters on her first skydive. Kaitlyn is a former Miss Indiana and represents Team Miss USA on the new NBC reality show. Good luck on the show Kaitlyn and thanks for choosing CSC!

We have all been working hard to get the word out about CSC. With billboards along the Chicago area expressways, the CSC girls travelling around to events all over the Midwest, and you guys bringing your friends and family to us - we are continuing to grow this place!

As we mentioned, last weekend was the 2nd NSL meet of the 2006 season. Congratulations to everyone who competed especially the pick-up teams!

We are offering a FREE REFRESHER COURSE on Friday evening at 6:00pm for our patient Freefall University students who have exceeded their 30-day currency requirement because of the weather. Don't miss this chance to save $50. The weather this weekend looks great and we are expecting a huge crowd out here at CSC.

We have night jumps on Saturday night! Also, we will be showing the Tito Ortiz vs. Ken Shamrock and Tim Sylvia vs. Andrei Arlovski Ultimate Fighting Championship on the big screens. Oh, and on a sad note, this Sunday night is the final party at the Welcome Matt Bar & Restaurant in Hinckley. "The Matt" has been home to our Wednesday Night Taco Nights as long as we have been coming to Hinckley. The Welcome Matt is going out of business this month. If you'd like to join us on Sunday, it's going to be a great party!

Don't forget about the wingsuit weekend. The one we had earlier this season was rained out. Also, next weekend is the Pink Mafia Boogie!
