The 11th Annual MS Boogie, Skydiving for MS, is officially underway. Mother nature isn't exactly on our side this weekend, but that seems to be the trend we're seeing this season. Despite the weather, we have a great weekend planned for you and hope you decide to join us in our ongoing effort to raise money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. To begin, Michelle Lucrezio will be performing live tonight at CSC. Sporto is in town and will be offering freefly load organizing this weekend to jumpers of all levels. Don't forget that the Pitts Bi-Plane is arriving on Saturday morning and offering aerobatic rides and jumps all weekend long. Tomorrow night, of course, is the big party, raffle, dinner, and live music by Dropped Once. Buy your raffle tickets for your chance to win some great prizes including the big one - a 100 jump package at CSC valued at $2,500.00!
We had planned to have the Otter, PAC, and Pitts here this weekend, but due to the forecast, we've decided to send the PAC off to support our friends over at Skydive Greensburg in Indiana. They were going to be without an aircraft this weekend.
CSC Rhythm XP has been training hard the past couple of weekends when the weather is cooperating. Below is a note from the team:
The MWSL held its first meet of the season this Saturday, May 31, coinciding with CSC Rhythm XP's second 3-day jump camp. Three teams attended: SDC On The Fly, CSC Victory Hop, and CSC Rhythm XP. With Kirk Verner providing meet coaching, Alan Butt running the meet, and CSC working with the teams to make sure everything went smoothly, the competition was a lot of fun for everyone. On the Fly and Victory Hop had some close competition for the first few rounds, but On the Fly was able to pull away in round 4. Unfortunately, due to winds, the official meet ended with 4 rounds.
Still, Sunday was a beautiful day, and those who stuck around got a lot more jumps in. Rhythm finished the meet with a 15.6 ave over 10 rounds - a team best and personal best for everyone. We are really excited to see our work at the Paraclete XP tunnel and CSC paying off, and looking forward to learning and growing more. We are also psyched to see the other Chicago area teams making good progress and enjoying 4-way like we do.

We've put together our First Annual CSC Golf Outing for Friday, June 20th at Edgebrook Golf Course in Sandwich, IL - only 10 -15 minutes from the CSC. The event starts at 9:00am and then we're heading back to the DZ for an afternoon of jumping. The outing is open to anyone who would like to join us. Hell, if they'll let me play, they'll let anyone on the course! Please reserve your slot with Shea Meyer no later than Friday, June 13th. Price is $35.00/person.
