There has been no shortage of activity and excitement here at CSC. This was a very eventful week - including the much anticipated (at least for me) return of our Super Otter with the new paint job. And things are just getting started - tomorrow starts Matty's Vibe Invitational. With the perfect weather forecast, we might even break the record we set last Friday of 22 loads. 16 was the previous weekday load record!

Last weekend was a mixed bag of weather for our 4th Annual Rainfest Boogie. Saturday was a total wash and the forecast for Sunday didn't look too great. However, we managed to break yet another record as we flew 33 Super Otter loads and dropped 540 jumpers. The most loads we have ever flown on a Sunday before that was 29. There is renewed energy at this dropzone and everyone is pitching in to make this place the best possible skydiving center. We hope you are seeing the results of our hard work and dedication to you and Chicagoland Skydiving Center.

This weekend marks our first weekend of operating both the Super Otter and PAC. We have invested a lot of money into reducing your wait times. Come on out and enjoy it. Also, let's be very careful of additional canopy traffic. We will do our best to stagger the jumpruns, but we need to keep an eye on each other.

Performance Designs is making CSC a demo center. We have been working on this deal for over a year and are very excited to offer demo canopies to anyone who wants to try out a new PD canopy. We are waiting for risers to arrive so we can get these new canopies out there. If you are interested in jumping the best canopies in the industry, contact Doug. In the meantime, PD and Mirage will be at CSC next weekend for the 10th Annual MS Fundraiser - MSX. Don't forget that Fritz Pfnur will be here freefly load organizing all next weekend.

Also, we are proud to announce that PD voted the CSC PROshop as the nicest retail store in skydiving. We submitted photos last month and we just received word that we were voted #1.

The Windy City Skydiving Team is planning to host a CRW camp at CSC this summer. The tentative dates for this camp at July 20 - 22. They plan to bring in a coach from the world record team and can get some PD Lightnings shipped in from the US Team. The dates will depend on interest and availability of the canopies. Wing loadings are best between 1.3 and 1.4. You will need to supply a rig to fit. Closing loops can be lengthened somewhat to help since the rig won’t be in freefall for more than a few seconds. Last Tuesday, a group of us headed up to Chicago Indoor Racing for another chance for me to show off my skills. In an effort to keep staff moral high, I decided to let Josh and Nathan beat me. I hope you guys enjoyed it - as it is a feeling not felt often by others when I am on the track!
