skydive update

It's been a couple of weeks since our last update mainly because we have been too busy to sit down and collect our thoughts. Two weeks ago, the US Navy Leap Frogs Demo Team contacted us to provide them with an aircraft to drop them into events all over the Chicago area. The forecast didn't look favorable, but we still managed to get them safely into every event including the start of the Saturday Cross Town Classic at US Cellular Field. It was a great experience flying them around and we look forward to working with them again in August! Last week, I flew to Greensburg, IN to fly for Team Fastrax. We flew over 90 loads in 3 days for the 4-way team as they trained for US Nationals. It was a very busy week, but again, it was great to be a part of their team. We have been contracted by Team Fastrax to provide the Super Otter several times throughout the season, but don't sweat it, we will have the Caravan here during the weekdays that they are using our Otter.

Speaking of 4-way, Robert Chromy is coming back to CSC this week, so the teams will be busy Thursday - Sunday. The Otter will be flying! If you're thinking of ditching out of work, this would be a great week to do it. We will most likely have the Caravan here too - we are expecting a very busy weekend. This weekend is also Matty Wright's Freefly Invitational - VIBE.

The past few weekends have been tough, especially for the dozens of solo students we have waiting to get in the air. We have a student wind limit of 17mph and it seems that the winds have been 18 - 20mph for the past few weeks. Hang in there everyone, the winds will come down soon! Don't forget that the winds are generally lighter early in the morning, be sure to get here at 7:30am on the weekends or 10:00am on the weekdays and we'll get you up as soon as possible.

The holiday weekend was great out here. The weather was hot and humid, but that didn't phase people too much because we had the air-conditioning kicking in the north hangar and classrooms. We had several storms roll thru including a nasty one on Monday. We saw gusts to 55mph. The parties each night were great on the Flight Deck and around the bonfire. We look forward to another huge party this weekend with the 4-way teams and Matty's freefliers. Don't miss this weekend!

This past week saw the start of our summer ad campaign. Among other things, our main focus this year are several billboards along the Chicago area freeways. Let us know what you think. Don't forget that you can help us advertise and earn a few bucks while you're at it. Order your personalized CSC business cards today and recieve $10 on your jump account for every student that shows up to CSC with your card. A box of cards is just 25 bucks. Email us to let us know what info you want on your cards.

Don't forget that June 9 - 11 is MS9 and Fritz Pfnur from the FlyBoyz will be here offering free load organizing and coaching. This is going to be our biggest event of the season, so don't miss it!

Congratulations:

Thanks:

While I was at Skydive Greensburg last week, Bob was kind enough to loan me his pimped out ride. I made sure to properly represent while I was there. Check out his license plate!
