This past weekend was definitely the best start to May we've ever seen here at CSC. We flew 62 Super Otter loads thanks to an abundance of solo students, tandem students, and the CSC sponsored teams. The teams brought Robert Chromy in Friday thru Sunday for some 4-way coaching and they took advantage of it by doing as many as 27 team jumps over the weekend. Team CSC Fever Curve also began their run at US Nationals this past weekend. Scott and Tiffany will be competing in freestyle. We opened up at 8:00am on Friday and flew all day long for the seasons first team training day. Saturday and Sunday were sunny with light winds and brought solo students out of the woodwork. Special thanks to our great staff for stepping it up. We're not used to working that hard this early in the season!

Saturday night was a great night here on the DZ as we showed the Oscar De La Hoya/Mayorga fight on the big screen. The bonfore was roaring and everyone was having a great time.

This Sunday is the first CPC event of the season. Join us for a great canopy competition with some of the best canopy pilots in the Midwest. The course will be set up on Saturday for practice runs. Competitors meeting starts at 7:30am on Sunday with wheels up by 8:00am. You'll have plenty of time to make your jumps and take mom out for dinner!

Coming up is another $19 weekend for all university students (licensed skydivers only). If you have a valid university ID, we'll give you $4.00 off your jumps all weekend. This weekend is also a wingsuit weekend. If you're a BirdMan, come on out and flock with

Ward Hessig from Performance Designs will be here this weekend. Please keep in mind that lead times for most skydiving equipment is 8 - 10 weeks. Hurry and place your orders soon and we can get you into that new gear just as the peak season rolls around.

As a reminder, CSC offers a "credit card on file" service that allows you to charge things on account here at the DZ and not worry about settling up before leaving on Sunday evening. Just ask Manifest for a credit card authorization form and we'll take care of the rest. Every Monday, you will be emailed an invoice and we will charge your card for any amount you owe.

Last week, we mentioned a new advertising campaign. We are seeing a big response to it and would like to mention it again. We are offering free custom window wraps to anyone who is interested in advertising CSC on their car window. If you have a good high-res digital image of yourself and would like to incorporate it into a window decal, CSC will cover the cost of the design and the wrap. We also have some stock photos that we can use if you don't have a photo that you would like to use. Contact Doug for more information.
